Northcote Music Studio & House Renovation 

A new recording studio and a house renovation that transformed a dark single fronted Victorian house into a light filled house for living.

 

This project, constructed in 2015 comprises two components:

 

1. A ground floor renovation to an existing single fronted Victorian weatherboard cottage on a tight site in inner Melbourne that introduces more natural light, replaces a kitchen and provides much needed storage, decluttering what was once a small dark house.

 

2. A free standing music studio, proportions and forms responding to ideal acoustic space ratios.
